We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer Intern to focus on our Centralized Technology Infrastructure. This internship provides hands-on experience with IT systems, identity management, automation, and device administration. Interns will work on impactful projects, shadow experienced engineers, and learn to configure tools like Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Okta, and Intune, gaining valuable skills for a future in technology.
Responsibilities:
As a Systems Engineering Intern, you will assist with a variety of hands-on tasks and projects to support our IT operations. Your responsibilities will include shadowing experienced engineers to learn about systems administration and contributing to specific projects such as configuring Microsoft 365 retention policies, setting up dynamic group memberships, and assisting with role-based access control in Azure Active Directory.
You will have opportunities to perform basic troubleshooting of authentication issues, deploy software on Windows and macOS devices using Intune and JAMF, and support the configuration of conditional access policies. Additionally, you will learn to navigate audit logs to identify potential system issues and gain an understanding of modern identity management tools like Okta and Netskope. This role is designed to provide a strong foundation in systems engineering while allowing you to develop valuable technical and problem-solving skills.
What you will be doing:
- Work closely with experienced professionals to learn and contribute to team efforts
- Work on projects that have a direct impact on the company
- Contribute to ongoing projects, providing valuable insights and support
- Configure IT tools like retention policies, dynamic memberships, and conditional access policies
- Set up role-based access control and handle authentication issues
- Deploy software on Windows and macOS via JAMF or Intune
- Identify and troubleshoot authentication errors using audit logs
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree for an accredited University.
- High level of attention to detail/accuracy.
- Exercise discretion and good judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Positive attitude approaching any task no matter how big/small.
- Approaches projects with creativity and is willing to think outside of the box.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to travel for Denver, Colorado for the intern kickoff week and possibly the Intern executive presentations.
What we are looking for:
- Rising juniors and seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Applicants to be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis from June to August 2025.
- Must be willing to commit to a 10-week internship I the Summer of 2025 (June-August) on a full-time basis.
- Enthusiastic about technology and committed to professional development.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to learn and collaborate with your teammates.
Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.
Compensation:
The target base compensation for this position is $20.00 USD per hour. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
