ViiV Healthcare was created as a joint venture by Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline in November 2009 with both companies transferring their HIV assets to the new company. In 2012 Shionogi joined the company. 76.5% of the company is now owned by GlaxoSmithKline, 13.5% by Pfizer and 10% by Shionogi.

The Regional Marketing Director is responsible for leading the development and execution of an integrated strategy to gather and act on customer insights across treatment and prevention areas. This role involves close collaboration with headquarters and field teams to understand key customer insights, identify growth opportunities, and ensure the effectiveness of engagement activities with thought leaders.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following…

  • Responsible for leading, developing and pulling through an integrated portfolio insight generation strategy.
  • Collaborate with headquarters and field teams to understand customer insights and opportunities.
  •  Implement and oversee a comprehensive strategy for identifying and continuously monitoring key thought leaders at national, regional, and account levels, in treatment and prevention areas.
  • Take full accountability for the effectiveness and impact of these engagement activities, making data-driven adjustments as required
  • Oversee integrated thought leader engagement strategy and key listening priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Healthcare Professional Engagement (HCPe) and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) teams to design and implement holistic speaker bureau strategies that align with ViiV’s treatment and prevention goals.
  • Manage AOR and identify need for further agency support in development of insight generation tactics.
  • Lead the development and execution of an integrated portfolio insight generation strategy for both treatment and prevention, ensuring it aligns with ViiV's broader objectives.
  • Proactively collaborate with headquarters and field teams to gather, analyze, and act on customer insights, identifying opportunities across the treatment and prevention portfolio.

  • 5+ Years Marketing
  • Experience in strategy development and execution,
  • Up to 50% travel

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Previous regional marketing/peer to peer/thought leader marketing experience
  • Previous specialty product strategy and marketing experience
  • Knowledge of the HIV disease state
  • Demonstrated ability to apply regional data and analyses to drive high impact business decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication/ presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively across a matrix environment and influence without formal authority
  • Deep understanding of risk management responsibilities/competencies
  • Ability to lead through change and inspire agility/flexibility amongst team
  • Experience working with and managing external agencies, vendors and consultants in support of marketing plans and field team needs
