Job description

Position Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced, dynamic Sales Development Manager with proven success in building, scaling, and managing a team of Sales Development Reps while consistently exceeding performance objectives.

You will take ownership and thoughtfully lead our sales development team. You will be empowered to shape the process, team, tools, and techniques to expand the top of the funnel and drive demos with new medical practices for our no-cost SaaS platform. The ideal person is a high-energy, data-driven leader, who is a natural coach who quickly earns the respect of others through action and is eager to apply their sales development expertise to a non-traditional SaaS model.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own SDR team productivity and performance metrics
  • Provide leadership, development, and training to the Sales Development Team
  • Develop our SDRs into future Account Executives by teaching them the balance of personalization, relevance, and volume to book meetings for the team
  • Guide their weekly activities based on key historical KPIs and conducting 1:1s to develop the SDRs professionally and personally.
  • Provide day-to-day support for the SDR team, troubleshooting issues, removing obstacles, and identifying learning opportunities
  • Help perfect their pitch through call coaching and mock pitching
  • Coach and mentor SDRs to achieve and exceed quota
  • Teach creative and strategic outreach to secure demos with decision-makers in medical practices
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members
  • Work closely with the marketing and Account Executive teams to ensure a positive working relationship and maximize the effectiveness of the Sales Development team
  • Drive the team to keep Salesforce and Outreach fully populated and up-to-date
  • Work with Sales Leadership and Marketing to systematically improve the lead qualification processes to maximize team efficiency, effectiveness, and lead quality
  • Cultivate an environment of teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement of everyone's role
  • Measure KPIs to make informed data-driven decisions to drive process improvement

The ideal candidate:

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably with a SaaS offering or selling to medical practices.
  • Experience managing a remote team or strong demonstration of building team culture
  • 2+ years in a leadership role managing a Sales Development team
  • Successful track record achieving and exceeding individual and team quotas
  • Experience in a heavily outbound sales model, not just handling inbound leads
  • Adept at adopting and rolling out new sales enablement technologies, proficiency with Salesforce.com and Outreach.io (or similar) is a must
  • Proven ability to monitor and report on activity in Salesforce.com with rigor, discipline, and an eye for opportunity
  • Independent go-getter and resourceful – You go over, under, around, and through obstacles to achieve success
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple and changing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on execution and results

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • 100% company-paid premiums for employee’s medical health, vision, and dental plans
  • Work from anywhere within the Continental U.S.
  • 401k matching
  • Life insurance
  • Flexible PTO
  • 100% paid parental leave
  • Post-parental leave program - $5k stipend to assist with expenses, 4 week 100% paid “Ease-Back” return to work transition period
  • Charitable donation matching
