About the Role

A popular reaction-based YouTube channel is seeking a skilled 2D animator to create a dynamic 7-second anime-style intro sequence. The project focuses on transforming the channel hosts into stylized anime characters for an action-packed opening that blends heroic moments with comedic elements. This project aims to elevate the channel's production value while maintaining its engaging and entertaining atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed character designs based on provided references and channel hosts' likeness
  • Develop storyboards and animatics for the approved 4-scene sequence
  • Animate high-quality 2D sequences in modern anime style
  • Design and animate special effects (energy weapons, explosions, particle effects)
  • Incorporate dynamic camera movements and transitions

Requirements

  • Proven experience in 2D animation, particularly in anime style
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating action sequences and character animation
  • Proficiency in animation software (e.g., Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate)
