Job description

Who we are

We believe the future is a tech stack of integrated best-of-breed SaaS products, with Katana at the center.

Since 2017, we've given businesses worldwide a live look at their inventory, uniting all the processes and tools they use with intuitive and easy-to-use cloud inventory software. Our customers range from mom-and-pop shops to multi-million-dollar businesses. To date, we raised over $51 million in funding from VC firms and angel investors who, like us, believe the inventory software space needs more love.

Besides great user experience and top-tier customer support, Katana is also industry-agnostic and scalable. The companies that grow with Katana come from almost any industry you can think of, and our software is designed to plug and play with any existing system of tools manufacturers use.

Our team

At Katana, we believe our strength lies in the diversity of our team. We’re a remote-first company of over 150 talented individuals, representing more than 25 nationalities across 15+ countries. Our commitment is to build an inclusive culture where everyone feels empowered to bring their unique perspectives and ideas, creating a space where growth thrives. As we continue to expand our customer base and product offerings, we remain dedicated to fostering equitable opportunities and cultivating a workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Who we’re looking for

As a Partner Manager, your primary responsibility is to develop and maintain strategic partnerships to drive mutual business growth and achieve company objectives. You will serve as the main point of contact for partners, working closely with cross-functional teams internally to ensure successful collaboration. Your role requires strong relationship-building skills, detailed knowledge of Katana, and a deep understanding of the partner Business objectives.

Your typical week would include
  1. Partnership Development:
    • Identify potential partner organizations and evaluate their alignment with the company's goals and values.
    • Initiate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to establish strategic partnerships.
    • Negotiate partnership agreements, including terms, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  2. Partner Engagement and Enablement:
    • Understand partner needs, goals, and pain points to develop tailored strategies and solutions.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, etc.) to align partner initiatives with the overall business strategy.
    • Provide training, resources, and support to partners to ensure their success in promoting and selling company products or services.
    • Monitor partner performance, track KPIs, and implement improvement plans as needed.
  3. Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operations and escalations.
    • Conduct regular business reviews with partners to assess progress, address challenges, and identify new opportunities for collaboration.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.
  4. Market Analysis and Strategy:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics related to the partner ecosystem.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential growth areas, competitive advantages, and emerging opportunities.
    • Develop and implement strategies to leverage partner networks, expand market reach, and drive revenue growth.
  5. Performance Measurement and Reporting:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of partner initiatives.
    • Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate partner performance, progress, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and senior management.
You’re the perfect fit if you
  • Have a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in partner management, business development, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the partner ecosystem and experience working with diverse partner types (resellers, distributors, technology partners, etc.).
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid business acumen, with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to drive initiatives and meet targets.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other relevant software tools.
What we offer
  • Opportunity to have a real impact at a global growth company and the chance to drive change in the inventory products space
  • Opportunity to work with an enthusiastic and talented global team
  • A competitive salary and employee stock option program (we want everybody to feel engaged and share the fruits of our collective effort)
  • Flexible and remote working options (we’re a results-driven team)
  • A team vibe to keep you smiling even on the rainiest days
  • Health & wellness package of your choice
