Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic RFP Writer with 7–10 years of experience to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in creating compelling, accurate, and strategic responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) across OCIO (Outsourced Chief Investment Officer), family office, and private markets business lines. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of institutional and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) client needs, as well as deep expertise in investment strategies, private markets, and client solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• RFP Creation and Management:
• Draft, edit, and deliver tailored RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs for OCIO, family office, and private markets opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proposals align with the firm’s value proposition, investment philosophy, and client goals.
• Manage multiple RFP projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines and quality standards.
• Content Development and Maintenance:
• Create and update proposal content that reflects the firm’s offerings, expertise, and competitive advantages.
• Maintain an accurate and comprehensive database of RFP content using tools like Loopio, Qvidian, or similar platforms.
• Proactively identify and fill content gaps to address emerging client needs and market trends.
• Collaboration and Strategy:
• Work closely with investment, sales, marketing, and operational teams to gather insights and ensure alignment in messaging.
• Act as a strategic partner to the business development team, offering insights and recommendations for proposal enhancements.
• Support client-facing teams in crafting custom responses for high-stakes opportunities.
• Research and Analysis:
• Stay up-to-date on trends in Institutional, OCIO, family office, and private markets, as well as regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Benchmark the firm’s capabilities against competitors and incorporate differentiators into proposals.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• 7–10 years of experience in RFP writing or a similar role within asset management, wealth management, or private markets.
• Strong knowledge of OCIO, family office structures, and private market strategies.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for various audiences.
• Proficiency with RFP management tools (e.g., Loopio, Qvidian) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and build consensus.
• Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and a client-centric approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or CFA designation is a plus.
• Familiarity with UHNW and institutional client needs, as well as ESG and impact investing.
• Experience working in a multi-family office, asset management firm, or OCIO provider environment.
