This role is open to remote candidates. This role is non-exempt hourly and pays $20.00-$23.50 an hour, dependent on experience.

 

As a Payments Liaison, you will be responsible for working with internal and external parties to resolve account issues. This will include research of settlement information and working with the creditors to resolve payment issues. You will also reconcile accounts and audit settlements for accuracy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contact creditors, collection agencies, and attorney offices to resolve creditor issues.
  • Effectively manage an open queue of accounts to consistently hit monthly production goals.
  • Utilize multi-tasking, prioritization, and organizational skills to work through the account queue.
  • Review account details and reconcile settlement amounts and fees according to documentation and guidelines.
  • Review client accounts to determine availability of loan funds.
  • Audit settlement offers after they have been entered from negotiations.

 

Requirements:

  • 1+ years experience with debt settlement or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ months in your current role at Americor.
  • Mortgage operations or collections experience helpful.
  • Payments experience in financial industry is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Great attention to detail, with the ability to properly apply policies and procedures to various situations.
  • Superior time management, multitasking and organizational skills; able to work under deadline constraints while completing work accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintains professionalism; reliable, punctual, tactful, considerate of others, and practices open communication.

 

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
