What We Are Looking For:
Product design is a critical discipline within our product management team. We are looking for a Principal Product Designer who will advance the user experience across all our products. This individual should be comfortable with early research and ideation to whiteboarding, prototyping, customer validation, and creating designs that drive engagement and positive user satisfaction, with proven experiences in designing and delivering compelling user experiences to drive the success of SaaS solutions.
This is a full-time and remote position based in the U.S., reporting to our Senior Vice President, Product Management.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Use creative problem solving and data driven insights to actively participate in the design of software components that foster a customer-centric design culture and directly impact product strategy.
- Translate requirements into visual designs and interactive prototypes to refine solutions while balancing business objectives, user needs and technical feasibility.
- Interact and communicate effectively with teammates, engineers, project stakeholders, and senior management. Working closely with product managers and engineering teams to align design requirements across the organization.
- Use analytics and testing research to formalize project requirements by identifying user roles and their associated use cases.
- Leverage data, customer and industry insights to create flow charts, low-fidelity wireframes, and high-fidelity design compositions.
- Present, justify, and propose design solutions to achieve a shared understanding across teams by defining and documenting patterns and guidelines in an evolving design system.
- Partner with the development team for feature design and iterative improvement to create intuitive, customer-centric user interfaces for web-based applications driven by data and customer research.
- Other duties as assigned and related to the nature of this role and company initiatives.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience is strongly preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in product design or UX design is required.
- Current and/or prior experience with designing SaaS products using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite or similar is required.
- A comprehensive portfolio, website, or any other relevant examples of work showcasing design challenges and outcomes is required.
Talents and Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, Accessibility and Interaction Design in the SaaS industry.
- Experience with cutting-edge front-end technologies and modern standards.
- Skilled at managing and influencing product leaders to help teams progress quickly through the design and build process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; ability to adapt to change and manage multiple priorities effectively.
