We are looking for an Intern to join our Experience team and develop their skills in the learner support and success space. This is a 6-month internship with the potential opportunity of permanent employment should the internship period be successful. The ideal candidate will have a sincere passion and commitment within the learning and development field and strive for academic excellence.
As an Experience Intern you will be trained and developed to handle the following duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for all general learning and academic tasks such as learner onboarding, support, course quality assurance and learner guidance.
Provide the Learner Success Coach with the required back-end support
Act as a point of contact, via email and phone for learners seeking support for pastoral, technical and academic issues via the general services desk
Confirm with Industry Experts & Learner Success Coaches courses that are running
Weekly check-ins with the Learner Success Coaches for alignment
Monitor and update learner tracking tool and generate reports for business
Action all queries and manage Zendesk and the dialler for allocated shifts alongside colleagues and respond within required time frames
Provide partnership support and coordination where required
Support the Learner Success Coach and ensures the processes and policies are adhered to per allocated partner
Maintain accurate records of all learner interactions in accordance with internal guidance and protocols in compliance with POPI and GDPR
Vet gradebooks and learner results to ensure they are to the standards set in the Assessor Guide
Create and distribute certificates and statement of results per allocated partner
Ad Hoc duties which aligns with different business, client and learner needs
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum qualification: Diploma in Business Management (NQF 6). Ideally a Bachelor of Business Administration, BCom or similar qualification in the related field of Business Management.
Knowledge and understanding of Higher Education regulations, processes and landscape is a big plus
A passion for administration, coordination, learner support and reporting in the academic space
Exceptional communication and time management skills
Stable and fast internet and quiet work environment at home
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00- 17:00
Location: Working mostly remote from home and in office when required in Cape Town, South Africa.
