Senior Software Engineer - Java

At Acquisio, the developer is involved in software development in an Agile environment, with the development languages advocated by the program (Java, .Net, C#, TypeScript (mainly Angular).  To do this they must ensure the delivery of stable and quality functionalities (called “stories”).  They also participate in all stages of software development, from design to delivery and production, support, including test automation and development of monitoring and support tools.  They must be sure to communicate and deliver functionalities (Script SQL, configuration change, action post deployment, etc.). 

In addition, they must meet established quality standards and assist in the continuous improvement of current code base, following the Scouts’ motto: “Always leave the place cleaner than when you arrived”.  They must also keep updating/creating basic relevant documentation in order to easily understand the code. 

The developer must also participate in the organization of the workload of the development team (called Velocity Center).  They have a duty to communicate unexpected problems and address them during a Sprint as a team.  They must keep in mind the customers’ needs, to ensure that the features are easy to use and error-free.

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark:

• Design and develop the “stories” 

• Ensure the quality, solidity, and scalability of the code base 

• Develop tests for future rapid regression of the features 

• Develop tools to support functionality and be proactive in detecting problems 

• Communicate problems and support the work teams including QA, infrastructure, etc.) 

• Support production deployments

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.

• 5+ years of software development experience, with a strong emphasis on Java

• Experience in delivering projects using Agile Methodology

• Knowledge and experience with SQL databases including writing SQL queries and data manipulation

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
