JOB PURPOSE
The IT Project Manager is responsible for taking full ownership of IT initiatives, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals. This role emphasizes accountability, effective communication, and collaboration across departments and with vendors to drive successful project outcomes. The IT Project Manager fosters a results-driven culture, aligning resources and priorities while maintaining transparency with stakeholders through regular updates and proactive engagement. By leveraging modern project management tools and methodologies, the IT Project Manager ensures continuous improvement and operational excellence across the firm’s technology landscape.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Project Ownership and Leadership: Lead the end-to-end management of IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Define clear project objectives, milestones, and deliverables to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic goals. Coordinate cross-functional teams and maintain accountability for project success.
- Business Partnering Communication and Engagement: Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders and leadership. Act as a liaison between vendors and internal teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Accountability and Escalation Management: Proactively identify potential challenges and escalate issues when necessary to minimize disruptions. Take ownership of project deliverables and hold team members accountable for their contributions, ensuring timely resolution of problems.
- Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify, assess, and manage project risks throughout the lifecycle. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address potential roadblocks and maintain project momentum.
- Process Optimization and Change Management: Analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Implement change management practices to minimize disruptions during updates or transitions, ensuring that projects remain on track.
- Budgeting and Financial Oversight: Support quarterly and annual budgeting processes by tracking and validating project-related expenses. Process monthly invoices accurately to ensure financial accountability and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Tools and Technology Utilization: Leverage project management tools such as Smartsheet and Microsoft Project to track timelines, resources, and deliverables. Recommend and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and support project objectives.
- Team Collaboration and Support: Foster a collaborative environment within and across departments. Facilitate open communication and provide guidance to team members to enhance productivity and engagement.
- Performance Measurement and Reporting: Develop and maintain metrics to assess project performance. Share insights and lessons learned with stakeholders to continuously improve project outcomes and drive operational excellence.
- Vendor and Partner Coordination: Manage vendor relationships by monitoring performance, resolving issues, and aligning external resources with project goals. Ensure that vendors meet contractual obligations and deliverables while maintaining a focus on quality and timelines.

- Project Management Methodologies: Possess a strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches to effectively manage and execute projects.
- Proficiency with Tools: Utilize project management tools, such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and other collaboration platforms, to track progress, manage resources, and streamline IT Project Experience: Bring experience managing complex IT projects, including system upgrades, process automation, and vendor coordination, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Exhibit exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a consistent ability to meet deadlines in dynamic environments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- PMI Certification or other relevant project management certifications is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION
Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the following during the work day:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (working at a computer)
- Ability to move/traverse about inside the office intermittently throughout the day (attend meetings, access file cabinets, obtain supplies from supply room, etc.)
- Operate computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine, printer, telephone, etc.
- Repetitive movement (i.e. heavy computer/keyboard use).
- Individual will interact regularly with others verbally, in-person, and via written communication.
- May require occasional light lifting (files, copy paper, etc.).

The estimated salary range for this position is $84,800 - $106,700 per year. This is a exempt position not eligible for overtime. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
