Let’s Talk about the Role
As the Tooling Operations Specialist I you will own the fulfilment process of tools across the region providing direction over order fulfilment, general operations, systems support, order tracking and other operational activities in a medium to large sized fulfillment tool center. Will perform some or all the functions below in addition to other duties that may be assigned. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Responsible for overall management of the tooling order process and analytics of tooling digital systems
- Support the development and execution of tooling strategy through regional input, observation and data analysis
- Manage tracking of tooling orders and audit systems to ensure that key performance indicators are met.
- Make recommendations for improvement and drive results.
- Support the onboarding of tool center employees
- Support the IT and procurement organization to perform the required procurement and establish the working processes and procedures
- Assist with billing process as appropriate; manage data feed of billing systems and calculated invoices
- Connects with vendors to obtain and negotiate quotes for equipment or fabricated tools necessary for the Tool Center
- Monitor quality of work performed by Tooling team in the region via data analysis, employee observation & feedback in consultation with Regional Tooling Manager, peers and Global Operations staff
- Clarifies tool requests with the region field teams who requested tool kits
- Build positive relationships with end field customers
- Receive and validate purchases that arrive in the tool center
- Provide general operations and guidance to Tooling Coordinators, Facility Managers, Service Managers and Logistics team as necessary
- Proactively addresses potential EHS concerns and communicates safety measures to the team.
- Works closely with tool center team to foster a strong EHS culture.
- May partner with Quality team to oversee Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and other onsite Quality measures
- May manage PO requests for items purchased by the Tool Center
- May manage security within the tool center.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Travel may be required
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
Skills for Success
You should be fluent in English with the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and organized, with high level deductive reasoning skills. Furthermore, you will also be or have:
- Applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
- High school diploma Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of employees
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Exercise excellent customer service, communication and management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of employees
- Experience in a warehouse environment
- Understand office formats and procedures, including Microsoft Office Suite and Internet
- Must be computer literate and able to create spread sheets and reports.
- Logistics experience with “goods-in / goods-out” protocol
