About the Role:

As the Technical Enablement Manager for the EMEA region, you will play a critical role in empowering Confluent's Customer Solutions Group (CSG) to deliver exceptional results. In this leadership role, you will be working closely with the VP of EMEA CSG, responsible for enabling EMEA teams with the knowledge and skills required to implement solutions and ensure customer success for Confluent customers.
We are looking for someone with an understanding of Apache Kafka, the data ecosystem, and data streaming technologies. If you’re currently a Solutions Engineer, Professional Services Consultant, or Solutions Architect, this is an excellent opportunity to transition into a more strategic role while leveraging your technical expertise.
Your work will directly contribute to the success of our customers by ensuring the readiness of CSG teams through tailored enablement programs, including new hire onboarding, ongoing development, and participation in New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives. 

What You Will Do:

• EMEA Readiness Leadership: Own the readiness strategy for EMEA CSG in alignment with Confluent’s product releases, GTM initiatives, and tools/processes to drive regional success.
• Enablement Program Development: Design and execute scalable frameworks to enhance technical, operational, and professional skills across the team.
• Collaboration: Partner with CSG, Sales, and Marketing leadership to plan and execute quarterly enablement programs.
• Content Oversight: Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure enablement content is impactful, accurate, and addresses real-world challenges. While not directly responsible for content creation, you’ll contribute to content quality and effectiveness
• Program Execution: Lead cross-functional readiness programs, host enablement events, and manage project timelines and resource allocation.
• Continuous Improvement: Develop mechanisms to assess and improve the effectiveness of enablement content and programs. Evolve readiness initiatives to ensure scalability and alignment with organizational goals.
• KPIs and Metrics: Define, track, and evaluate program success using clear metrics and feedback.

What You Will Bring:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years in a technical role such as Professional Services or Sales Engineering, Customer Success Architect OR
• 7+ years of experience building and managing enablement programs for customer-facing technical teams.
• 2 years of experience working on Kafka or similar event streaming technologies. 
• A strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex concepts effectively.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to manage time and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong influencing skills, even without direct authority.
• Open, growth mindset with a high degree of self-motivation, fostered in a face-paced, high growth, dynamic environment

What Gives You an Edge:

• Experience with Apache Kafka, Flink, Confluent products
• Experience working with, cloud computing technology (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with distributed software systems environments / deployments
