Description

Location: Remote for the time being.
Active Washington State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in good standing required.
Schedule:  8am-6pm PST
4 days a week, working 10-hour days with one day off.

Job Summary:

 

As a full-time Associate Medical Director (AMD) at Workit Health, you will be responsible for collaborating with a physician to provide care to our members along with providing clinical oversight and managing a team of staff providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants). Our providers see patients via tele-health platforms. Currently, all of our positions are remote until further notice.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide regional clinic oversight (Approximately 80% admin and 20% client care)
  • Leading a team of providers in evidence-based practice and supporting them in navigating changes in the organization
  • Participate in clinic leadership initiatives to support company OKRs
  • Collaborate with VP & Medical Director, Senior Medical Director & VP of Quality, and Chief Medical Officer to support low barrier, high quality addiction medicine care
  • Collaborating with clinical operations and behavioral health leadership to continuously improve our care delivery
  • Leveraging data to inform process improvements
  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Practice to support provider template development
  • Hiring, onboarding, and ongoing support for your team of providers
  • Co-facilitate virtual shared medical appointments (SMAs) and individual appointments by providing clinical assessments, treatments, and medication management.
  • Conduct new patient evaluations.
  • Make appropriate assessments, treatment plans, and referrals for patient problems.
  • Prescribe and monitor medications for opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder.
  • Provide patient education and referrals, specific to patients assessed needs.
  • Maintain standards of confidentiality, HIPAA and 42 CFR Part II. 
  • Utilize strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in EMR system.
  • Provide excellent member experiences resolving member inquiries and ensure our members’ needs are placed first.   
  • Commitment to Harm Reduction philosophy in all aspects of clinical practice.

Qualifications: 

 

  • 5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Active Washington State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in addiction medicine required
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Experience prescribing SUD medications
  • Experience with harm reduction
  • Active DEA license 
  • Current BLS certification
  • Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing and evolving work environment
  • Ability and willingness to complete work independently online; familiarity with Google Drive, spreadsheets, documentation, video conferencing, and secure email
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability a must
