As an Education Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in this high-performing, growing team, dedicated to empowering customers with the skills and confidence to maximize their use of the Xero platform
What you’ll doYou’ll apply your passion for training/support to create and deliver our world-class education experiences via multiple learning methods, including face-to-face classroom training, and live webinars.Aside from the day-to-day delivery of content, you’ll get involved in a diverse range of special projects, including supporting new product launches (Xero releases thousands of product improvements each year), presenting at large scale industry events (e.g Xerocon, Xero Roadshows) and planning new education materials.Design, write and deliver educational content for both prospective and existing customers, being advisors or small businessesDeliver content in a range of formats: webinars, in-person or virtual workshop/classroom style events, conferences, 1-on-1 consultations and workbooksPresenting at large scale industry events (e.g Xerocon, Xero Roadshows)Review, provide feedback on and regionalize educational content created by the global digital curriculum teamKeep up to date with product enhancements, beta test and trial new functionalityBuild effective relationships with Education Specialists in other regions to ensure knowledge, content and ideas are shared, duplication is avoided and assets are leveragedSupport GTM and marketing campaigns with relevant, practical educationAssist with community initiatives amongst the accountant/bookkeeper and SMB communitiesUse feedback from surveys to refine content after initial releaseCollaborate with the education team to scope, ideate and brainstorm Project manage educational initiativesWork with sales and marketing teams to plan content calendarsPlan always-on webinar schedule with other team membersSuccess looks likeCreate and deliver purposeful beautiful education in line with Xero’s content strategyMaintain a world-class Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT) for Xero EducationAchieve specified targets for course registration and attendanceReceive excellent course feedback on relevance, usefulness and presentation style, while using survey insights to deliver improvementsSuggest ways to improve webinar engagementSupport the delivery of regional and global strategic prioritiesWhat you’ll bring with youBachelor’s Degree or equivalentExperience in an accounting/ bookkeeping environment a bonus2+ years producing and delivering webinars/eLearning/teachingInstructional design and training delivery experience would be advantageous Proven examples of group teaching/coachingExperience in program/project managementComputer and software literacy, especially in cloud based applicationsIn-depth Xero KnowledgeAccounting or bookkeeping qualifications or expertise a bonusConfident speaker - outstanding presentation and facilitation skillsWritten communication skillsAbility to work autonomously and demonstrate initiativeTech-savvyA team player with a sense of humour and a positive ‘can do’ attitudeAppreciation for and exposure to sales teams and targetsAbility to excite, influence and negotiate with stakeholdersA change and growth mindsetOrganisational, problem solving and time management skillsCustomer centricity and a passion and desire to make a differenceWhy Xero?
