ABOUT THE ROLE
Howdy future Horizoneer,

We are Horizon. Our behavioural research SaaS enables product, innovation, and consumer insights teams to consumer-validate product decisions by uncovering consumers' purchase intent for any product decision or new product development.

We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee our business operations at Horizon with a strong focus on go-to-market, finance and HR. You will take ownership of key projects across the company that drive operational efficiency and enable us to scale. The ideal candidate is eager to learn while being ready to take on a high level of responsibility.

We consider ourselves as “remote first”, while this role requires occasional presence in our Mainz office.
WHERE YOU'LL ROCK THE SHOW
  • Collaborate with teams to identify challenges and implement performance improvements.
  • Optimize GTM operations, including sales and account management processes.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to track and analyze revenue cycle KPIs.
  • Partner with management to design sales targets and commission structures.
  • Ensure HubSpot accuracy and usability, delivering actionable insights for GTM teams.
  • Build financial models and forecasts to support strategic decisions.
  • Manage accounting processes, including month-end close and accounts receivable/payable.
  • Prepare accurate and concise investor reports using financial and performance data.
  • Lead HR processes, including onboarding, recruiting, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee administrative operations and enforce essential company policies.

  • Analytical: Not shy of numbers, financial analysis, and capable of data interpretation.
  • Problem-solver: Proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing solutions.
  • Self-starter: You actively help yourself (and others) to be successful
  • Communicative: Excellent written and verbal communication for effective stakeholder interaction.
  • Organised: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and take ownership in a dynamic, startup environment.
  • Team player: Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work cross-functionally and independently.
  • Entrepreneurial drive: Motivation to take initiative and contribute to company growth with a hands-on approach.
  • Native-level in German language and fluent in English, comfortable communicating in either language with externals.
  • Tech-savvyness: Keen interest in new tools and technologies, curious about innovative approaches to enhance sales strategies and efficiency.
