This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week
  • Wednesday to Saturday, flexible between 9am to 5pm Waterloo NSW

Job Description

As a Photo Editor, you’ll play a crucial role in transforming raw photoshoots into polished, client-ready galleries. You’ll work with a diverse range of subjects, from adorable newborns to intimate boudoir sessions and beloved pets. Your keen eye for detail and efficiency will directly contribute to creating memorable experiences for clients. This position offers the opportunity to hone your skills in photo curation and basic editing while working with a dynamic, creative team.

Responsibilities
  • Upload and organize photo sessions to the studio’s Network Attached Storage (NAS) system
  • Expertly cull large sets of 200-250 photos down to 100-150 top selections for client viewing
  • Perform essential edits in Adobe Lightroom, including precise cropping and exposure adjustments
  • Create striking black and white versions of selected photos
  • Prepare and arrange photos for impactful client viewing sessions
  • Maintain a consistent, high-quality appearance across all edited photos
  • Meet tight deadlines to ensure photos are ready before client viewing appointments
  • Collaborate with the studio team to understand and adapt to evolving style preferences
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom with a solid understanding of its features and workflows
  • Sharp eye for composition, lighting, and emotional impact in photographs
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, managing time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for effective remote collaboration
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a computer capable of handling photo editing tasks
  • Professional discretion in handling sensitive client images
  • Adaptability to work with various photography styles (baby, boudoir, pet)
  • Basic understanding of photography principles and post-processing techniques
