Job description

The Regional Director is responsible for the local commercial and customer activities, drives the direction for the company within the region and leads the local management team.

Your responsibility will be to lead our local teams and influence central teams – to implement the “more value – scalable volume” strategy in the region, which should result in a step up of the growth of revenues. In this position you will report to the VP Fleet Management Europe.

Here is a little taste of your challenge:

  • Develop and execute the regional revenue growth strategy both through numbers but also financial;

  • Lead the management team (Sales, Marketing and Customer experience) to maximise revenues growth and secure profitability – using a portfolio mostly determined by our leading SaaS WEBLEET solutions – but also beyond that;

  • Work closely with the central marketing team to determine regional activities to support region ‘s strategy including account-based marketing;

  • Influence senior and central leadership on the needed direction – key market drivers and guide needed product development activities;

  • Manage overall local portfolio of products, activities, channels to maximise market success;

  • Identify and pursue cross-sell & upsell opportunities to enable portfolio growth;

  • Manage customer life cycle to increase customer satisfaction (from sales acquisition to implementation, support and development) and revenue;

  • Collaborate with local Bridgestone colleagues to address combined opportunities.

  • Address the ‘go to market’ strategy and focus of the team on the areas that will produce growth and sustainable revenue.

This role has a local team (direct sales, channel sales, enterprise, partnerships, Customer success, regional sales engineers, and marketing) – each function working with their peers and a functional head that reports centrally.

Remuneration will be based on 80/20 – fix/commission. The commission plan consists of:

50% Regional revenue target achievement (based on growth formula)

30% Regional company profit contribution

Pay out is 50%-150%.

Expectations to make this role successful:

  • Shown to independently be able to set up a growth strategy and turn this into action;

  • Proven to lead a commercial team with high growth ambition (either in startup of corporate environment);

  • An open mindset with excellent communication skills, 1:1, in teams;

  • Strong commercial affinity – proven sales or commercial track record;

  • Outstanding communication capabilities – motivating people ;

  • A can-do-attitude and “getting things done” style;

  • An undisputable team player attitude.

Who are you?

  • Proven experience in a sales management position for large accounts;

  • University degree in Sales or related field + master’s degree preferred;

  •  Min 10 years’ experience  in the software-, IT or system integration business; preferably in the automotive industry.

  • Fluent in English
