A Brief Overview
The AAS Strong for Life Coordinator is responsible for conducting the Strong for Life exercise program for a group of older adults in a designated community setting, monitoring ongoing progress and providing motivation and encouragement. Strong for Life is an easy-to-follow, evidence-based program designed to improve strength, function, and balance in older adults with or without limitations.

What you will do
  • Preparation and set up of SFL classes.
  • Supervise classes; assist participants during exercise.
  • Train, supervise, and manage SFL volunteers.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reports; keep records up-to-date.
  • Process and orient new SFL participants.
  • Establish a relationship with appropriate person at community site; be aware of emergency procedures at site; report concerns.
  • Promote the SFL program through health fairs and other venues, as determined by Program Manager.

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience Qualifications
  • Working in a community setting with older adults

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to adjust communications to fit the needs and level of understanding of the receiver
  • Ability to anticipate, assess, plan for, and manage physical, psychological, and social needs of the patient and family/caregiver and provide appropriate support, comfort, and reassurance
  • Ability to be a resource for all employees assigned area of specialization
  • Ability to solve problems and identify solutions
  • Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional
  • Knowledge of medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $27.92 - $31.46 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
