Job Title: Security Analyst – Managed Services

Department: Information Technology

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to security alerts and incidents in client environments relating to Email, Cloud and Endpoint Security.

  • Conduct investigations of security incidents and anomalies to determine the scope, impact, and root causes.

  • Collaborate with the Security Operations team to assess the urgency of each alert, as necessary.

  • Perform incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery, to minimize the impact of security incidents.

  • Document all actions taken during incident response process for future analysis and improvement.

  • Coordinate with clients during the incident response process, keeping them informed about the progress and involving them in decision-making.

  • Serve as a point of contact for client support requests related to security incidents, platform usage and break/fix issues, promptly addressing and resolving technical issues or escalating them to the appropriate teams.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, operations, and support to resolve customer issues, feature requests, and improvement opportunities.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to provide valuable insights to the sales team.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent work experience

  • Thorough understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including hardware, software, networking, and cloud services.

  • Demonstrated expertise in how various platforms and technologies integrate to create comprehensive solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and understand their business needs.

  • Ability to understand, interpret, and apply common security standards and frameworks such as NIST, 800-53, CIS, SOX, and ISO-27001.

Technology:

  • Experience with security technologies including, SentinelOne, Abnormal Security, Microsoft, Rapid7 IDR, Rapid7 IVM, Wizer, KnowBe4, etc

  • Solid understanding of major operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux)

  • Experience with IT infrastructure, networking, and software solutions.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and tools.

  • Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistance

  • Attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy

  • The ability to multi task, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information
