The Collections Manager, Transactions will support the Customer Accounts team with tasks related to acquisition, disposition, continuing operations and special projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reconcile tenant ledgers to identify errors
Perform strategic analysis of lease and transaction documents
Investigate historical data to identify source of remittance errors, short pays and/or improper billings
Monitor accounts to identify outstanding amounts owed within designated portfolio including ongoing analysis and reporting on collectability
Perform tenant outreach to discuss open receivables, solve complex ledger issues and follow through to resolution or set up of payment arrangement
Maintain, update, and report on data related to collection pursuits, collection rights, and bad debt across Link’s data platform ensuring the highest degree of accuracy and completeness
Serve as Link’s liaison with buyer representatives on all collection related matters
Recommends and facilitates alternative collection strategies including bad debt write-offs
Tracking of all open payment plans negotiated with tenants
Gather, analyze, interpret, and prepare operational data for reporting in a specified format
Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service through proactive, timely, and responsive service
Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience in real estate, property and project management/operations or commercial real estate collections, transactions management, or property accounting
BA or BS in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics or Business Management
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced work environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint,
High level proficiency with Excel and Yardi or similar platforms
Self-motivation, determination and initiative in a team environment
Demonstrated high attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to adapt to change and willingness to take on new company initiatives
Strong data mining and analysis skills
Current/prior real estate experience is highly preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Nature of work requires an ability to effectively communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents operating standard business office equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work performed in a general office environment. May require extended hours during peak periods.
$85,000 - $102,000 represents the presently anticipated base compensation pay range for this position at Link. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
