Job description

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer who wants to have an influence on sustainability an innovation along with satisfaction in being part of the solution and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The Technical Support Engineer (TSE) provides technical support and expertise to Customers, internal Customer Support, and Field Service teams. The TSE ensures that cases are actioned accordingly to the customer focused KPI's / promise and that they deliver to the agreed service level in every touch point.

What you will be doing: 

  • Offer technical remote support to customers and engineers by diagnosing and resolving standard issues with the installed equipment in the region.  
  • Utilize remote access tools, interpret diagnostic data, and provide support using augmented reality technology.
  • Effective communicator who listens carefully, asks pertinent questions, and identifies the customer’s true needs. 
  • Proficient in using advanced IT tools such as CRM (ServiceMax), Outlook, PLM systems, Knowledge Bases, and others.

Other duties assigned as required by the business.

What we are looking for:

  • Technical college degree preferred, degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical or Software engineering
  • Broad technical and analytical skills related to the installed equipment in the region.
  • Field service experience in a food processing environment or technical support is preferred (over 2.5 years), and/or willingness to undergo extended on-the-job training to gain the necessary experience.
  • Proficient in CRM (ServiceMax), Outlook, and PLM systems.

  • Solid Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) experience
  • Industry professional in Technical Service Management with a focus on capital goods, preferably with over 2 years of experience in the food industry, or equivalent experience as a Field Service Engineer (FSE).
  • Experience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage.
