About the Role
Chronosphere is looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to join our Controller Organization. In this role you will manage our order- to-cash process while navigating the evolving revenue landscape. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Sales, Sales Operations, Product, Legal and FP&A to ensure proper revenue treatment across our product portfolio. You will provide technical accounting guidance for deal structuring and also manage revenue accounting and billing.
You Will
Develop, implement and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures and processes to ensure compliance with ASC 606
Manage the day-to-day Order to cash cycle, including but not limited to billing and accounts receivables management and collection efforts
Collaborate with sales, deal desk and FP&A teams to structure revenue arrangements that align with company objectives and comply with ASC 606 guidance.
Review complex revenue arrangements for multi element contracts including subscription- based models, usage based models and professional services
Establish and maintain Stand Alone Selling Price (SSP) documentation
Provide technical guidance on new product offerings and contract structure
Manage the month close and accounting related functions related to revenue recognition, Sales Commissions, month end flux and account reconciliations
Manage accounting close and reporting process for Order to Cash cycle and sales tax compliances
Write technical accounting memos regarding complex revenue transactions
Partner with external auditors to own annual financial audits related to Order to Cash process and revenue recognition
Operationalize the new pricing and packaging initiatives with regard to billing and revenue recognition
Take initiative in identifying process improvements and implementing scalable processes
Stay current with the changes in the accounting standards and regulations related to revenue recognition
You Have
6+ years experience in revenue accounting and billing preferably in SAAS industry
Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
Experience with Netsuite ARM and Suite billing
Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, Finance or related field of study; CPA is preferred
Ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within the organization
Hands on experience in billing and revenue operations
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Strong desire to continuously learn and grow professionally
