Description
We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Events Leader to join our Marketing Team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Cybersecurity who thrives in fast-paced, innovative environments and excels at blending deep expertise with an entrepreneurial, will-to-win attitude. It’s an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Events Manager with a proven portfolio of impactful events, looking to take full ownership of event strategies from conception to execution and follow-through. You will be instrumental in setting and surpassing new standards for event excellence and will directly see the impact of your work.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement event strategies that align with company goals and brand identity, seamlessly integrating trade shows, field events, customer events and customer experiences into overarching marketing plans.
- Plan and manage all aspects of events, including budgeting, logistics, vendor selection, venue sourcing, and contract negotiations, ensuring flawless execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance and product teams, to ensure events align with business objectives and messaging.
- Integrate events into marketing initiatives, ensuring they play a strategic role in the customer journey and contribute to both brand awareness and demand generation.
- Select and manage third-party vendors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Oversee on-site logistics, including booth setup, signage, registration, staffing, and AV requirements, ensuring smooth event execution.
- Manage event budgets, adhering to allocated funds and seeking innovative, cost-effective solutions to maximize event impact.
- Strategically plan a 12-month event calendar, balancing objectives for brand awareness, consideration, and demand generation, contributing to both Marketing and Sales funnels.
- Define and track KPIs and metrics in collaboration with Marketing Operations to evaluate event effectiveness. Deliver post-event analysis and reports, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, conduct competitor analysis, and implement innovative ideas to elevate event quality and impact.
You Have
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing events, with at least 2 years as the Event Lead in a Cybersecurity company.
- Experience leading Tradeshows, Field Events and Virtual Events
- Proven ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders, including marketing, sales, finance, legal, and operations teams.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to meet deadlines in dynamic, fast-changing environments.
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and deliver results with precision and impact.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a customer-centric mindset.
- Strategic event management skills, including budget oversight, planning, and clear communication of commercial impact.
- A valid passport and readiness for frequent domestic and international travel.
- Flexibility to work across multiple time zones
- Strong network of vendors and event organizers.
- Creativity and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges.

Pay Range Disclosure (For US openings only)
Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is ($87,000 - $109,000) per year + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The salary range may differ in other states and may be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.
