About Ledger Investing

Ledger Investing is a Y Combinator-backed startup that is transforming the way insurance risk is financed.  Today, Ledger is an online marketplace, focusing on the securitization of insurance. Insurance securitization has quickly grown to be a $100 billion market but is limited in scope due to opacity and complexity.  Ledger is on its way to expanding this market to $1 trillion by building a seamless data platform from the policyholder to the capital markets, enabling transparency, and bringing best-in-class analytics and real-time insights to the table. Our $75 million Series B round of investment funding has set us up for exponential growth. We are on our way to disrupting the industry by serving as an unparalleled, advantageous marketplace for virtually all types of insurance risks and capital.

Provide support in developing and structuring the offering of casualty insurance-linked securities (ILS)
and in all aspects of growing and structuring the global investor base for a new asset class. Implement
and execute the go-to-market strategy for casualty ILS. Provide support for securities offerings, rating
agency procedures, and financial modeling activities in order to expand and organize the global investor base for the casualty ILS. Execute the full suite of the firm’s securities offering processes. Develop and review transaction deal models, including reviewing securities tranches and performing financial optimization. Conduct financial analysis and perform financial modeling to prepare materials and communicate with rating agencies as part of the securities rating process. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to respond to complex investor requests and due diligence questionnaires. Review and develop transaction legal documents. Develop a platform to provide investors with unprecedented insights into their investments. Position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. Salary: $170,000 - $185,000 per year.
