What We're Looking For

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and expand our Florida transportation practice. This role involves providing strategic direction and leadership to our Florida-based team, aligning with Barge's goal to grow our services and client base in Florida. This is a remote position with opportunities to work from any office location.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business plans for the State & Local Client Center, aligning with the firm's strategic goals.
• Collaborate with the Director of Projects, Client Service Leaders (CSLs), and Marketing to develop and execute client marketing plans, pursuit strategies, teaming agreements, proposals, and interviews.
  
  

Manage Project Functions Including

• Developing proposals and negotiating contracts.
• Monitoring project schedules, budgets, billing, and collections.
• Providing technical oversight to ensure adherence to Barge's Quality program.
• Facilitating meetings during all project phases.
• Managing changes in project scope and effort.
• Develop conceptual design solutions to meet client goals.
• Collaborate with technical leaders to develop reports, designs, plans, and specifications.
• Supervise and mentor staff to ensure effective workload management and professional development.
• Ensure key skillsets and capabilities are in place to support operational needs through recruitment and workforce development.
• Collaborate across departments to allocate resources and share talent firmwide.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE or PMP certification preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in roadway design/project management.
• Experience with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
• Strong design and technical skills.
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, graphical).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong team-building and collaboration skills.
