Job description

About the Company - GovRise, a non-profit organization registered in Togo, is focused on contributing to the development of Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and economies transformation through governance improvement.


About the Role - To support different projects, the organization is seeking researchers to explore innovative governance practices, integrating new technologies and participatory approaches across both public and private sectors. The role is pro bono, with a minimum commitment of three hours per week, allowing flexibility in terms of location and schedule. Strong commitment to deadlines and appointments is essential for successful project outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyse the different concepts of governance to produce knowledge for innovative and convergent governance;
  • Analyse the quality of information and knowledge as well as processes prior to decision-making;
  • Analysing systems, procedure and processes to support collaboration and partnership;
  • Monitor and analyse policies and best practices to support programmes and projects development;
  • Analyse the challenges related to the transformation of decisions, policies, programs and projects into tangible results;
  • Build knowledge partnerships on governance improvement;
  • Support the development of workshops on governance;


Qualifications - A minimum of Master degree in governance with experience and demonstrated success in drafting research.


Required Skills

  • Have a creative and innovative deep and holistic understanding of governance;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to a variety of audiences;
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to deal with people of all levels and areas of expertise;
  • Strategic and analytical thinking; ability to identify future opportunities and solve a problem using a logical, systematic and sequential approach;
  • Have a good command of key computer programs; the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Google Doc, Microsoft Teams Meeting; Outlook) as well as Zoom;
  • Be agile and able to work autonomously, collaboratively and flexibly within a team to achieve objectives, with creativity, innovation and inventiveness while remaining objective and efficient in compliance with principles, norms and standards;
  • Be proactive in spontaneously making proposals for better directions;
  • Be guided by the vision and mission while being focused on the goal, objectives and results, and always open to learning more, in complementarity;
  • Demonstrate integrity and loyalty.


LANGUAGE SKILLS - Good commend of French and English.
