Job Description: LIGR MCR Operators - Live Sports Streaming

About The Role

We are excited to announce casual job openings at LIGR, a leader in live sports streaming and graphics solutions. We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic individuals to join our MCR team to oversee the live streaming of various sports events. These roles are crucial to delivering high-quality broadcasts to audiences worldwide. This is a remote opportunity and at a minimum the successful candidates must be able to work during the specified hours below (Australian Eastern Standard Time - AEST).

These roles involve supporting production agencies, liaising with internal and external technical teams, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring end-to-end distribution of all content. In addition, these roles will assist with general customer support where and when required.

Roles Available

MCR Manager

  • Australian-based remote role.
  • Oversee the monitoring and coordination of live streams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues prior to, and during, broadcasts.
  • Ensure the seamless execution of streaming schedules.
  • Oversee preparation of MCR reports

MCR Controller

  • Operate and monitor broadcast feeds and audio during live games.
  • Report and escalate issues to the MCR Manager as needed.
  • Assist the production team/s with technical tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare regular MCR reports to capture technical issues, down time and resolution measures

Working Hours

Minimum Shift Schedule (AEST)

Thursday: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Friday: 5:00 PM – 12:00 Midnight

Saturday: 12:00 Noon – 12:00 Midnight

Sunday: 12:00 Noon – 12:00 Midnight

Other Hours As Required.

Commencement

From the 1st of February 2025 (training sessions will be conducted by current LIGR staff)

Qualifications And Skills

MCR Manager

  • Proven experience in Master Control Room operations or live broadcast environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure
  • Leadership skills to manage and coordinate team effectively

MCR Controller

  • An understanding of live streaming workflows and broadcast equipment
  • Attention to detail and ability to monitor multiple live streams simultaneously
  • A proactive mindset for identifying and resolving technical challenges

Both Roles Will Require

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A technical understanding of live streaming, graphics, and data integration in sports production
  • Familiarity with sporting competition structures
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and match days, as required
