MDaudit Enterprise, our flagship revenue integrity software platform, enables organizations to reduce compliance risk, risk monitoring, and built-in analytics and benchmarking capabilities while maximizing revenue – all in a single, integrated cloud-based platform. We are currently seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Manager to join our team.  We are a completely remote company!  


The Cloud Infrastructure Manager will oversee the operation of AWS cloud infrastructure and ancillary third-party connectivity to ensure reliability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. The individual will be responsible for working with the cross-functional teams to build new or enhance existing services and to define, manage, and update infrastructure components including overseeing the release process to ensure smooth and secure deployments. This role will have experience in best practices for cloud architecture and be able to balance trade-offs between performance, security, and cost. The Cloud Infrastructure Manager has navigated and led organic and inorganic corporate growth.   

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

  • Maintains up-to-date, extensive, and deep knowledge of cloud products, technology, and best practices. 
  • Oversee the operation of cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, cost-efficiency, and health of the cloud environment by leveraging performance metrics identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime. Implementing and maintaining monitoring tools to detect and resolve system performance issues promptly. Ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance by troubleshooting problems as they arise. 
  • Developing and enforcing security policies to protect against cyber threats and data breaches. This includes managing firewalls and intrusion detection systems and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. 
  • Creating and maintaining disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure or data breach. 
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize performance and efficiency in the cloud environment. 
  • Implement and enforce security policies and compliance standards to protect sensitive data and ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory compliance. 
  • Coordinate activities and prioritize workload to meet project deadlines and short-term and long-term goals. 

REQUIRED SKILLS  

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation. 
  • Extensive knowledge in managing SaaS infrastructure with hyper-growth. This includes assisting with planning for integration, cost optimization, potential compatibility analysis, performing security and risk analysis, and data systems for a likelihood of acquisition.  
  • Experience working with third-party cloud and security management services (CrowdStrike) and managing infrastructure teams.  
  • Familiarity with security best practices and industry compliance standards for cloud-based SaaS solutions. 
  • Manage internal and external communications and be the primary contact for escalation of business issues. 
  • Knowledge of managing SQL Server, Snowflake, Data Lake, and data warehouse is a must 

APPLICATION/SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE  

  • Six plus years of Experience with Amazon Web Services as a system administrator mainly with the SaaS platform  
  • Proven experience in managing cloud infrastructure for SaaS platforms, AWS SysOps, and Infrastructure as a Code (IaC). 
  • Administrator certification is preferable along with a strong knowledge of cloud security principles 
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated testing. 
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and architectures, with expertise in AWS and Azure. 
  • Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools for cloud environments, with a focus on optimizing system performance and reliability 
  • Hands-on experience with healthcare information systems and practice management or clinical technology systems  
  • A solid understanding of the development of software products utilizing multiple primary applications such as WCFs, Visual Basic (VB/VBA), scripting language, MSQL 
  • Experience with SQL Server processes, Stored Procedures, peer-to-peer, and transactional replication 
  • Experience with Analysis Services, Integration Services, or Reporting Services 
  • Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler, and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools. 
  • Knowledge of Snowflake, Data Lake, and Data Warehouse is a plus 
  • Experience with backups, restores, and disaster recovery models 
  • Experience with IIS is a plus 
  • Ability to transfer specialized knowledge to current MDaudit business needs  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Adhere to security policies, guidelines, and procedures pertaining to the protection of systems and data. 
  • Report actual or suspected vulnerabilities in the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of systems and data. 
  • Report actual or suspected breaches in the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of systems and data. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

  • 7+ years Cloud experience required, namely AWS 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a healthcare setting  
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent related work experience  
  • 5+ YOE in the SaaS environment 
  • Expertise in managing infrastructure for a company planning to grow organically and inorganically
