Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Events who will take charge of our go-to-market strategy by leading a high-impact events program. This critical role is essential for elevating brand recognition and driving organizational growth through a mix of industry events and our marquee annual thought leadership conference, The Leadership Innovation Exchange (LINE). Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), the Senior Manager, Events will work collaboratively across various teams, including sales, marketing, and client engagement, ensuring seamless execution and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive annual events strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives and focuses on ROI.
  • Oversee the meticulous planning and delivery of individual events, ensuring high standards of creativity and quality.
  • Coordinate event promotion plans in collaboration with the marketing team to ensure alignment with broader initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams on lead management to maximize conversion rates.
  • Achieve and surpass quarterly and annual targets for lead generation and pipeline growth.
  • Communicate event plans and outcomes clearly to senior leadership and the wider organization.

Annual Thought Leadership Conference (LINE)

  • Create detailed project plans and manage all aspects from planning to execution.
  • Partner with leadership, sales, marketing, and product teams to develop the event agenda, recruit speakers, and engage attendees.
  • Ensure proper speaker preparation and communication for optimal readiness.
  • Oversee the ongoing development of LINE branding and the event website.

Event Speaking Strategy

  • Maintain a proactive calendar of speaking submission deadlines and coordinate submissions accordingly.
  • Propose session topics and select speakers by leveraging insights from internal and client expertise.
  • Collaborate with event partners to identify and secure speaking opportunities.

Results Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track progress against event-specific goals and overall program objectives, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide clear and accurate performance reports to senior leadership.

Budget Management

  • Oversee and manage event-related expenses within the marketing budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in marketing, including a minimum of 4 years dedicated to event management.
  • Proven track record in planning and executing an organization's annual thought leadership conference, client summit, or similar event.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is required; familiarity with health systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in a startup environment is highly desirable.
