Position Title: Social Media Marketing Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Reports To: Director of Marketing

We invite applications for the position of Social Media Marketing Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in elevating our brand’s presence across various digital platforms. Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting visually stunning and engaging content that enhances community connections and promotes tourism. If you possess a keen eye for detail and stay ahead of digital trends, you may be the ideal candidate for this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a robust social media strategy that aligns with our broader marketing objectives, enhancing brand visibility across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, and X.
  • Content Creation: Generate and curate high-quality content, including posts, stories, reels, videos, and user-generated material, to ensure a visually cohesive feed that showcases the diverse experiences our destination offers.
  • Community Engagement: Actively cultivate and expand social media communities by responding to comments and messages, fostering a positive environment that encourages interaction with potential visitors and local residents.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside the digital marketing manager to synchronize organic and paid social media efforts and collaborate with the content manager to align campaigns with our editorial calendar.
  • Member Outreach: Engage with local businesses to feature their offerings, organize familiarization tours for fresh social content, and strengthen collaborative partnerships.
  • Influencer Partnerships: Identify and collaborate with influencers, bloggers, and creators to broaden our outreach and showcase authentic travel experiences.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Analyze social media KPIs, monitor campaign performance, and leverage data insights to refine strategies and enhance engagement.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the organization's crowdsourced photo and video library using tools like Crowdriff.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably within the travel, hospitality, or lifestyle sectors.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong storytelling and copywriting abilities tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro) and other photo/video editing tools.
  • Photography and videography skills, including proficiency in handling basic equipment.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and influencer marketing practices.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds for transporting materials.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: \(70,000-\)75,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
