Job Overview

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NC DEQ) is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Business/Data Analyst to become a vital member of the Permit Transformation Program team. This remote role offers a competitive W-2 rate of up to $65 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide strategic oversight on various data analysis initiatives across the DEQ’s enterprise.
  • Collaborate with fellow analysts, architects, and developers in the development of a cohesive enterprise data model that adheres to DEQ’s business and technical specifications.
  • Contribute to the standardization of shared data entities and attributes within the organization.
  • Provide expert guidance on technologies such as Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS, ensuring optimal integration and functionality within projects.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Oracle, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server.
  • Expertise with desktop applications, particularly Microsoft Access and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
