Job description

About Us:

We are a fast-growing LA-based Advertising company in need of experienced PR Associates who can start asap.

The PR Associate will support the development and execution of public relations campaigns, media strategies, and brand messaging. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, engage with media outlets, and ensure our brand and client stories reach the right audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets. Draft press releases, pitch stories, and secure media coverage.
  • Content Creation: Develop engaging content for press releases, media kits, blog posts, newsletters, and social media platforms.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating PR events, press conferences, and brand activations.
  • Research & Reporting: Monitor media trends and coverage. Prepare reports on PR performance, media hits, and campaign success.
  • Client Support: Support account executives in developing PR strategies for clients and provide regular updates on PR initiatives.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure messaging aligns with the company's voice, mission, and client objectives.
  • Crisis Management: Assist in the creation of rapid-response plans and communication during crisis situations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in PR, communications, or media (preferably within an advertising or marketing environment).
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to craft compelling pitches and stories.
  • Proficiency in media monitoring tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital PR strategies.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using PR software (e.g., Cision, Meltwater).
  • Familiarity with the advertising industry and its media landscape.
  • Experience coordinating events or campaigns.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand-building
