Back End Engineer / Developer (Contract To Hire)

Position: Back End Engineer/Developer

As a Back End Engineer/Developer, you will be responsible for developing, integrating and maintaining the core functionality of the software applications. You will work closely with the team of developers, designers, and product managers to ensure that their products are efficient, scalable, and user-friendly. Your expertise in coding languages, system integration, and strong communication skills will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop end-to-end features, including backend code, APIs, and frontend UI, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting infrastructure for critical product flows.
• Ensure observability and maintenance for features developed by you and your team.
• Influence technical direction for backend and frontend applications.
• Shape engineering team culture, processes, and best practices.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in backend system development with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Knowledge of distributed system design patterns and unit testing frameworks.
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and customer/colleague empathy.
• Strong design intuition and ability to address ambiguous engineering challenges.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems.

Strong proficiency in a specific coding language (such as Java, Python, Golang or Ruby) including a strong understanding of its ecosystem and best practices.

• Must have good proficiency in English (both speaking and writing)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
