Members receive reduced and capped dental fees together with no waiting periods, no exclusions, and no limits when they visit any of our 4,000+ Smile Dentists throughout Australia. Smile has over 1 million members.
National Dental Network
Smile is the largest National Dental Network in the country, preferred and no gap network. Our mission is to give practices the support, strengths and capabilities of a large organisation. Smile also directs its Members to Smile Dentists. Over 4,000 dentists and over 12,000 support team throughout Australia within metropolitan, regional, and remote areas work with Smile.
Health Fund Partnerships
Smile provides our Health Fund Partners with a preferred and no gap (optional) network. Our mission is to ensure our Health Fund Partners achieve a turn-key National Dental Network that provides reduced and capped dental fees for their Members. Smile enjoys partnerships with exceptional health funds such as GMHBA, Peoplecare, Frank, AIA, Australian Unity and Defence Health.

The Role
ROLE OBJECTIVES
As a Creative Design Lead at Smile, your focus is to elevate the brand's visual identity and user experience to help achieve Smile's ambitious growth and retention goals in both retail and corporate dental cover segments.
This role requires leveraging cutting-edge design practices and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to create compelling, scalable, and customer-centric designs that resonate with Smile’s mission of revolutionising quality healthcare accessibility and affordability.
This role will be reporting to the Head of Marketing and will be a part of the Retail Dental Cover & Enterprise Dental Cover Divisions.
The position will have a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week with at least 6 hours of crossover b/w 8 am-5 pm GMT+10 (Brisbane, Australia)
Key Responsibilities
Strengthen and Manage Partnerships:
Develop and refine Smile’s visual identity to align with the company's mission and growth goals.
Create existing and prospective stakeholder-focused design materials, including presentations, infographics, and branded content.
Ensure all designs adhere to Smile’s brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive and recognisable brand image across all channels.
Acquisition & Retention
Retail Dental Cover: Create visually appealing and high-converting designs for digital campaigns, landing pages, and social media to support new sales growth targets and retention rates.
Enterprise Dental Cover: Design B2B-focused sales and marketing collateral, emphasising clarity and professionalism, to achieve new sales growth targets and retention rates.
Use AI-driven tools for A/B testing and performance optimisation of creative assets.
User Experience Design
Lead the design of Smile’s digital platforms, ensuring seamless navigation and an exceptional user experience for retail members and enterprise members.
Use AI and user analytics to identify and address pain points, continuously improving conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
AI-Driven Design Efficiency
Integrate AI tools (e.g., DALL·E, Adobe Sensei) to accelerate the design process and optimise the quality of deliverables.
Collaborate with the data team to leverage customer insights for creating personalised, data-driven design strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to translate business goals into impactful visual assets.
Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure design feasibility and implementation accuracy across digital platforms.
Brand Identity
Delivery of retail and enterprise visuals, and brand refresh within 90 days.
Brand consistency score maintenance across all channels (measured via periodic audits).
Create memorable campaigns that align with Smile's brand identity and break through with our target audience.
Campaign Performance
Enhance Retail dental cover campaign CTR.
Improve Enterprise dental cover campaign CTR
Optimise conversion rates for key landing pages.
Experiment with new creatives and landing pages to discover brand assets that drive the highest campaign conversions.
Work closely with the marketing and product team to improve website-wide conversion rate.
User Experience
Increase in Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Reduction in bounce rate on Smile’s digital platforms
AI Utilisation
Demonstrable use of AI to meaningfully enhance design processes and outcomes.
Time-to-market for design assets is reduced through strategic AI integration.
Collaboration
Positive stakeholder feedback scores maintenance from marketing, sales, and product teams (measured through quarterly surveys)..
Completion of all design deliverables within deadlines, maintaining an on-time delivery rate.
Ideal Profile
Requirements
This FULL-TIME ROLE will only suit someone who also meets the following requirements:
Expertise in collateral design, UI/UX design, and ad creative.
Proficiency in AI tools (e.g., MidJourney, DALL·E, Adobe Sensei) and design software (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
Strong understanding of healthcare and B2B design nuances.
Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Data-driven mindset with a focus on iterative improvements.
