This is a contractual position for 6 months with the possibility of full time. Must be able to work on Saturday and Sunday, and will have two days off during the business week.
Job Description
The EDI Technical Support Analyst (TSA) assists clients in resolving VXexchange general inquiries that do not require programming source code or in-depth knowledge of VXexchange database.
This position provides an excellent experience for our clients by training, supporting, and resolving client issues in a timely manner.
Monitoring production servers is also required.
Essential Job Duties
- Monitor production servers
- Analyze emails and create a ticket for other TSA or resolve the issue
- Partner with team members to determine if the inquiry is related to an enhancement or problem within the existing code
- Verify that transactions are successfully processed by checking True Track for errors
- Reprocess failed inbound transactions daily
- Monitor EDM dashboard for errors
- Create missing 997 report and send inquiries to utilities
- Stop and restart servers for code changes when required
- Work with DevOps team and Infrastructure team to install window updates on all servers once a month
- Attend all department meetings
- Adhere to policies, guidelines, and procedures pertaining to the protection of company and client information
- Report actual or suspected security and/or policy violations or breaches to Management
- All other duties as assigned
- Working hours will include working on Saturday and Sunday and two business days off during the week.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- BA or BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline; Equivalent specialized work experience may be considered in lieu of a 4-year degree
- Experience in regulated and/or deregulated energy industry a plus
- Experience with EDI transactions (814, 810, 867, 820, 824, 997, and other transaction types) a plus
- Experience in MS SQL (read ability on SQL queries and writing SQL queries is a plus)
- Experience in VB.net and .Net development a plus
- Customer relationship experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and can explain technical terminology to a non-technical user
- High energy, driven individual with the ability to collaborate in a team/cooperative environment as well as exercise independent judgment and initiative
