AREA SALES MANAGER

ABOUT YOU:

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving results and inspiring teams? Jostens is hiring an Area Sales Manager to lead and grow a high-performing sales team. This role focuses on delivering profitable sales growth, developing leaders, and optimizing resources to achieve sustained success.

YOU HAVE:

  • Education. Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • Experience. Minimum of 4 years in a management role, preferably in sales management, with experience leading remote teams across a large territory.
  • Talent Development Skills. Proven success in hiring, developing, and coaching teams to achieve results.
  • Strategic Focus. Ability to manage in a performance-driven culture with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Sales Expertise. 5+ years in consultative, program-oriented sales or equivalent experience in sales support, marketing, or consulting.
  • Communication Excellence. Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Tech-Savviness. Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and sales tracking tools.
  • Analytical Skills. Experience using market and financial data to identify trends and drive performance.


YOU WILL:

  • Drive Sales Growth. Achieve profitable and sustained sales results across a large geographic territory.
  • Lead and Develop Teams. Provide leadership, motivation, and coaching to regional managers and independent sales channels, ensuring high performance.
  • Plan Strategically. Oversee resource, territory, and capacity planning while managing sales forecasting and organizational capability.
  • Collaborate Across Functions. Partner with marketing, technology, finance, and HR to deliver seamless end-to-end processes and achieve operational objectives.
  • Implement Effective Processes. Manage strategic planning using market and financial data to drive decisions and achieve targets.
  • Develop Future Leaders. Focus on leadership development, coaching, training, and recognition to build a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure Compliance. Adhere to corporate policies, manage budgets, and track performance metrics to maintain accountability.
  • Stay Industry-Savvy. Continuously develop industry and technical knowledge to anticipate trends and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Travel as Needed. Manage a multi-state territory with approximately 40% travel.
