Job Summary:

Manager of Technology Business Management (TBM) Analytics is a management role for a dynamic individual with a strong technology and financial management background who will lead operationalization of The Standard’s Cost Transparency Program. This will involve configuration and report design for a TBM system designed to position organizational leaders with the knowledge to manage and communicate the cost, quality, and value of IT Services.

  • Ensure organizational leadership has the analytics and insights necessary to understand the total cost of ownership of IT services, changes in those services, and opportunities to leverage TBM practices to optimize decision making.

  • Communicate and report out on operational insights to organizational leadership and management committee to ensure timely identification and understanding of critical issues facing the TBM system deployment.

  • Conduct regular business reviews with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business and enterprise goals, including alignment of IT allocation plans, and redefining services as needed.

  • Leverage platform capabilities to educate and increase awareness and understanding of IT performance from a value perspective.

  • Develop and deliver presentations and other strategic change management communications.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, accounting information systems, finance or business analytics. An advanced degree in a quantitative field is preferred.

  • Eight (8)+ years of progressive finance, accounting information systems, or business intelligence experience -or- the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.

  • Prior experience in IT finance, financial systems, technology business management (TBM), or CIO advisory work.

  • Knowledge of IT financial management practices such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital and operating expense handling, and product or capability-driven funding models.

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure domains, Agile application development and LEAN from prior experience.

  • Familiarity with Apptio.

  • Advanced level proficiency in Excel, SQL, scripting, Python, PowerPoint and Power BI.

  • Experience using a high level of analytical abilities to frame problems, analyze solutions, and build detailed project plans to size strategic alternatives for TBM system deployment and deliver appropriate recommendations.

  • Experience at a top-tier consulting, financial services or a technology-driven company is preferred.

  • Prior experience managing and coaching a team is preferred.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$114,500.00 - $182,750.00
