Job description

The Director, HR Business partner at Penn Foster Group will work closely with leadership and operate as a trusted advisor and business partner assisting the leaders in finding and nurturing our talent, championing our culture, and creating a positive work environment for our employees. The HRBP will acquire knowledge of the organization so that they can be an integral part of supporting the leaders in meeting their business objectives



Responsibilities

  • Execute company-wide talent strategy while building a high-performance culture of growth and development through effective communication, trust and feedback.
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer to lead and deliver best-in-class management practices such as performance management, talent review and succession planning, engagement and organizational design and development.
  • Brings an innovative mindset to strategy development and team leadership.
  • Demonstrate ability and knowledge in all aspects of Human Resources including talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, culture development and performance management. Support members of management in each of these areas on a regular basis.
  • Partner with HR Leadership to enhance management and leadership capabilities and implement change, development, and culture initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to leaders to implement and evaluate programs and plans those results in increased organizational effectiveness and engagement.
  • Desire to raise the bar, passionate about engaging with leaders and employees’ deep sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Exercises sound and efficient judgement when making complex decisions.
  • Works across HR team to simplify processes, systems and interactions that add value to leadership and that help to solve day-to-day operational issues.
  • Partner with leadership organizational design, hiring strategy, job leveling and bonus programs.
  • Understands and leverages data to articulate insights and develop action plans in partnership with leaders to address issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 plus years of HR Experience
  • Strong business orientation and a bias towards action and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
  • Proven ability to link HR Initiatives that support the annual operating plan with clear accountability and metrics that measure HR’s performance/
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and anticipate human capital needs and lead change initiatives that support engagement and a highly productive workforce.
