Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Fully Remote, Philippines

Salary: $12 - $20 per hour based on experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 10AM - 6PM Eastern Standard Time

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

As a Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing financial reporting for multiple clients. You will lead a team of accountants, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, and resolve complex accounting issues. This role requires a hands-on approach, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong ability to collaborate with both internal teams and clients.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or a related field is required
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online and intercompany accounting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and timelines.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to resolving financial issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to clients and internal teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage financial reporting for several clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial statements.
  • Review and maintain the integrity of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and industry regulations.
  • Manage intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and eliminations across multiple entities.
  • Collaborate with clients to improve financial processes, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Prepare reports and analysis for management and clients, delivering insights into financial performance and recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead and develop a team of 2-5 accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure high standards of performance.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage client accounting systems and financial data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex accounting issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.


Preferred Skills:

  • A CPA license is highly preferable but it's not required.
