Today we are looking for a Fact Checker for Spanish Editorial who will be responsible for ensuring the factual accuracy, clarity, and integrity of our editorial content. If you are passionate about entertaining articles and work with texts, hurry up and send us your CV!
Responsibilities
- Check the article's compliance with Editorial guidelines and legacy policies;
- Check the legality of each image in the article;
- Check whether there is permission from the copyright holder if a request to the licensing department is necessary or if the photo belongs to the author himself;
- Check each fact and references to authoritative sources, whether the author distorts the information, and whether we can consider this source reliable;
- Suggest edits to the author, opens reworks, and checks the article after the rework until it is ready for publication;
- Help updating the list of people, links, movies etc blacklisted;
- Support internal Fact-Checking projects when needed.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of Spanish language;
- Good command of English;
- At least 1 year of experience in editorial fact-checking or content writing;
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and understanding how to fact-check for online content;
- Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills;
- Readiness to complete a test task and pass an online interview in English.
