Job description

Job Description: As a Senior Mobile UI/UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating seamless, intuitive, and visually stunning mobile user interfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and other designers to deliver mobile-first experiences that align with user needs and business goals. You will also lead and mentor junior designers, driving design excellence and consistency across mobile platforms.

Responsibilities:

UI/UX Design: Lead the design and prototyping of mobile applications, ensuring a smooth, user-friendly experience across various mobile devices.
User Research & Testing: Conduct user research to identify pain points, gather insights, and iterate designs. Utilize tools like Playwright, Puppeteer, and BackstopJS for visual regression testing and ensuring design consistency.
Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers to implement high-fidelity designs using technologies like Vue.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript. Ensure that designs are feasible and align with technical capabilities.
Design Systems: Develop and maintain design systems, utilizing Figma for creating reusable UI components. Incorporate Storybook and Chromatic for consistent design and code integration.
Responsive Design: Implement responsive design principles to ensure applications look great across multiple screen sizes and resolutions.
Visual Regression & Testing: Utilize tools like BackstopJS and visual regression testing methods to identify UI inconsistencies and ensure that design implementations are flawless across devices.
Documentation & Processes: Create and maintain comprehensive software documentation, ensuring smooth handoffs to development teams and consistent design processes.
Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior designers, fostering growth, skill development, and design best practices.
Technological Tools: Be well-versed in front-end technologies like SCSS, SASS, CSS, HTML5, and LESS to ensure design systems are easily implemented and maintained in code.

Required Skills & Experience:

Design Expertise: Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing mobile applications, websites, or complex interfaces.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of web and mobile technologies, including Vue.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and modern build tools such as Webpack, Vite, and Gulp.js.
UI Tools: Advanced proficiency in Figma for high-fidelity designs, prototyping, and user flows.
Testing & Automation: Experience with tools like Playwright, Puppeteer, BackstopJS for visual regression testing, and Storybook/Chromatic for design and component management.
Design Systems: Experience building, maintaining, and scaling design systems to ensure consistency across products and platforms.
Frontend Development Collaboration: Experience working closely with front-end developers to ensure designs are accurately implemented, ideally with a working knowledge of SCSS, SASS, CSS, HTML5, and LESS.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate design decisions clearly to stakeholders and developers.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify design challenges and proactively find creative, user-centered solutions.
Leadership & Mentorship: Experience leading design teams or mentoring junior designers to elevate design capabilities and team collaboration.
Languages: Englis C1 level

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Soy/Closure Templates for templating.
Experience working in Agile environments and using project management tools like Jira or Asana.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in mobile and web design.
