The Legal Assistant will perform legal research, monitor claims and lawsuits, and provide litigation-related support to our in-house attorneys involved in Construction Defect claims. Responsibilities include inputting information into file database and case management software; preparing and filing discovery requests; preparing responses to opposing counsel; assist in scheduling and managing attorney calendars, and close monitoring of deadlines. Must be customer focused and enjoy making contact with our policyholders, courts, and other law firms, in an effort to confirm accurate case status with the attorney(s). Position is located at our corporate headquarters in Sarasota, FL and offers a hybrid work schedule: (3) days working onsite collaborating with the team and (2) days remote.

The salary range for this position is $27.28-$42.01 hourly. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
