Job Summary:
The Cash Management Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the organization’s cash management. This role ensures effective management of cash flow, drives process improvements, and maintains strong banking relationships while fostering compliance with policies and regulations. The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, analytical expertise, and exceptional communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily cash flow activities and transactions.
- Manage bank account balances and deposits.
- Forecast cash needs and optimize cash usage to support financial goals.
- Mentor a team of Cash Application Specialists.
- Provide guidance to achieve departmental objectives.
- Ensure timely cash applications and credit allocation.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and banks.
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external clients to address issues such as billing disputes, payment errors, and unauthorized deductions.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), collection status, and risk exposures.
- Identify opportunities to streamline treasury processes and enhance efficiency.
- Implement best practices and new tools in cash management and applications.
- Partner with internal teams such as Accounting, Finance, and Sales to align treasury activities with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with service representatives, account management, and sales to provide technical support as needed.
Job Qualifications:
Education/Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in cash management, treasury, or a related area.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial reporting and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP and accounting software preferred; ERP systems such as ConnectWise or Sage Intacct preferred.
- Experience with managing B2B digital payment platforms, portals and payment services preferred.
