Job Details

Cencora is seeking a Privacy Operations Analyst to join the Global Privacy Team. The ideal candidate will focus on incident response activities and be able to provide guidance on privacy best practices, data handling, and compliance with state and federal data protection and privacy laws.

  • Support privacy incident response activities though intake, investigation, documentation, and resolution of privacy incidents and complaints involving potential inappropriate use or disclosure of PHI or PI; collaborate with business partners to recommend and ensure implementation of corrective action and appropriate remedial measures; assist with breach analysis and notification requirements, where appropriate.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to provide guidance to stakeholders on privacy best practices, data handling, and requirements with a focus on state and federal data protection and privacy laws, including HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, etc.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with applicable privacy regulations (e.g. HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Assist in drafting and conducting privacy training and awareness programs for team members to promote a culture of privacy compliance.
  • Support other privacy program activities such as data subject requests and privacy assessments.
  • Provide administrative support to the privacy program and incident response process, including management of shared mailboxes, scheduling of team meetings, participating in the Privacy Champions program and other committees, and providing general support for the Global Privacy Team.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in privacy, law, or a related field
    • 3+ years of experience in privacy
    • Strong knowledge of privacy laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, etc.)
    • Experience with incident response and HIPAA breach analysis
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Good analytical, problem solving, writing and communications skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
    • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in pressure situations and demonstrate a high level of flexibility in a rapidly changing environment while handling complex assignment simultaneously.
    • Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills; self-motivated and directed, adaptable, team focused and detail oriented.
    • Personal computer skills to include competency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
    • Ability to extract and massage data from varying compliance systems/databases for reporting purposes.
    • Subject matter knowledge and ability to create relevant training content and effectively provide training across the organization.
    • Comfortable working in a matrix organization with tolerance for ambiguity.
    • Ability to help promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the team and the larger organization by valuing different ideas and opinions.
    • Ability to work remotely and have access to high-speed internet.

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Relevant privacy certifications (e.g., CHPC, CIPP)
    • Experience in a pharmaceutical environment
    • Project management experience

    Salary Range*

    $72,200 - 103,290

    *This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
