Abeka 6th Grade Science/Health Editor/Writer
As a 6th Grade Science/Health Editor/Writer, applies personal education, classroom experience, subject-matter expertise, and skill to write and edit engaging textbooks and materials from the biblical worldview. The Editor/Writer exercises their Christian-traditional educational philosophy to research, create, and finalize products for publication.
Develop accurate content based on data obtained through research into curriculum mapping, standards, market analysis, testing data, and customer feedback. Analyze data and synthesize conclusions into a proposed scope of revision to create the production overview.
Create and edit content based on the production overview using clear and concise writing skills. Use creativity to provide layout direction and illustration expectations.
Participate in team collaboration providing feedback to support product quality, validity, and effectiveness. As a valued editor/writer, regularly communicate with your teammates about product expectations and deadlines.
Work to ensure that products flow through the editorial process efficiently. Proactively communicate with the Lead Editor requesting support as needed to prevent potential delays or obstacles, ensuring product is delivered by the publication deadline.
