Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with prior B2C payments experience to collaborate with the broader payments’ organization for the development and management of our residents’ experience to process payments across different payment methods. This position will support our existing payment experiences as well as work on a roadmap to migrate our customers and their residents to the new payments’ widget / tenant portals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver on the execution of the payments roadmap to introduce new payment methods
  • Be hands-on in developing requirements, features and user stories in partnership with design and other product teams to ensure a consistent experience across different form factors and applications
  • Partner with Payments Engineering and Product leadership to incrementally deliver on the roadmap items in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Collaborate with Industry Principals, Design and Sales to identify market opportunities and develop new products that delight our customers and drive new revenues
  • Stay current with payments industry trends, regulatory changes and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Dive-deep on discovery, design and delivery as needed to build out world class checkout and payment experiences across a multitude of use cases
  • Understand the “funnel” and build consensus with multiple stakeholders to increase adoption of electronic payment methods by residents across different segments
  • Solid understanding of funds flow, settlement and reconciliation activities needed to recognize revenues and support payment operations with exceptional KPI improvements around success rates and lower cost of payments.
  • Understand the regulatory and compliance implications and frameworks that govern safe payment processing including risk, fraud, underwriting and identity verification.



Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Product Management roles at a payments of e-commerce company
  • Bachelor’s degree – preferably, a degree in Computer Science or Engineering

    Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

    • Technical understanding of e-commerce flows
    • 7+ years of experience in payments product management or a related field.
    • Experience working with products related to billing, finance, payments, and/or accounting.
    • Experience working directly with internal stakeholders and other product teams to identify needs and balance cross-product priorities.
    • Experience working closely with merchant account providers and managing relationships with them.
    • Deep knowledge of the payments landscape is also required including the requirements related to Payment Facilitation and Money Transmission (MTL) licenses
    • Exceptional people skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of management, both internally and externally.
    • Able to analyze data (across telemetry and transactional models) and concisely translate that into actions and results with emphasis on KPI measurement clarity and “how to move the needle”
    • Global Perspective: Ability to work seamlessly with a global, multicultural team.
    • Experience with Stripe, Adyen and/or other similar payment gateways/processors.
    • Thorough understanding of payment methods such as Cards, ACH, Apple Pay, Google Pay etc.
    • Proven ability to develop and launch successful payment products that meet customer needs and drive revenue growth.
    • Strong communication and analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Experience with payment processing platforms and APIs and workflows – Any experience in migrating platforms towards a SOA or Micro services model is a big plus.
