Responsibilities:

Job Description:
We are looking for experienced facility medical coders to code Same Day Surgery Outpatient services for hospitals across the United States. These are remote, W2 positions offering part-time and full-time opportunities. As a Facility Outpatient Surgery Coding Specialist, you will:

- Review documentation and accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and applicable modifiers to same-day surgery encounters.
- Collaborate with the coding manager to ensure accurate and timely completion of charts for facility same-day surgery coding.
- Ensure compliance with coding rules, guidelines, and the client’s expectations.
- Maintain high-quality standards and coding accuracy.
- Previous EPIC EMR experience a plus

Qualifications:

Key Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in surgery coding within an acute care hospital, teaching facility, or trauma center.
Certifications: AHIMA credentials required (RHIA, RHIT, or CCS) with facility coding experience.
Quality Standards: A demonstrated track record of maintaining 95% coding accuracy and high-quality standards.
Technical Skills: Experience with EPIC is a plus, but not required.
Assessment: Must pass our coding assessment.
