The role

As our Senior UI/Visual Designer, you will design visual assets and materials for our product and brand - from presentations to the smallest components in our system. You will consistently deliver high-quality, meticulously crafted, aesthetically pleasing, and highly functional designs. 

As the visual design expert, you will protect and evolve our design language while inspiring others to become brand advocates. By leveraging a deep understanding of typography, color, and design principles, you will create cohesive and visually appealing solutions across native iOS and Android apps and responsive web applications. 

You will also lead the creation and maintenance of our design system. Success will require demonstrated expertise in influencing user behavior through delightful visual experiences, a proven ability to build, scale, or maintain a design system, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Where you’ll work

To be considered for this position, you must be located in the US. You can choose to work remotely or from our offices in Austin or Dallas.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the creation and maintenance of a design system - including component libraries and documentation - in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Defining the vision for design visuals across software UI, native apps, web applications, and brand touchpoints.

• Ensuring cohesion and alignment with the design language across all visual projects.

• Owning design projects end-to-end, from ideation to delivery, while managing priorities and timelines.

• Collaborating with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure seamless execution.

• Presenting design concepts and strategies clearly to stakeholders, fostering alignment and understanding.

• Upholding and evolving the product and brand design integrity through innovation and attention to detail.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of visual design experience, with expertise in native iOS and Android apps.

• Proficiency in Apple Human Interface Guidelines, Google Material Design, and responsive design principles.

• Experience in building, scaling, or maintaining design systems - including component libraries and documentation - in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Portfolio with 3+ case studies demonstrating design principles, creative problem-solving, and storytelling, including mood boards, style guides, and visual assets.

• Advanced skills in Figma (including component libraries and design tokens) and Adobe Illustrator.

• Excellent grasp of digital design principles, including typography, color, iconography, interaction design, and relevant trends.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills for aligning stakeholders.

• Adaptability to fast-paced environments and a passion for pixel-perfect, high-quality design.
