Spreetail is seeking a Finance Director to support our Merchandising organization. This role will report into the Senior Director for Commercial Finance. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and process improvements for Spreetail’s merchandising organization. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in finance, operations, and merchandising, capable of leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels. Your analytical acumen and leadership skills will be crucial in delivering fast and accurate financial information, which will be used to guide our executive team in making informed business decisions.
How you will achieve success:Develop and implement financial strategies that support the merchandising goals and overall business objectives.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the merchandising organization; use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes and systems; deliver weekly/monthly financial close, using financial systems and advanced Excel functions to work with large data sets. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the merchandising organization; act as a trusted advisor to merchandising leaders, providing insights and recommendations. What experiences will help you in this role:Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards). Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
